AN INTRODUCTORY WORKSHOP WITHTHE BROWN HOMESTEAD
Join Brian Narhi, Jessica Linzel and Sara Nixon from the Brown Homestead for a full day workshop at the NOTL Museum.
Bring a packed lunch; laptops encouraged but not required.
This workshop will provide participants with basic hands-on knowledge and resources to conduct historical research of properties in Ontario, including:
- An overview of Ontario’s landregistry system and structure;
- Best practices for using the OnLand database; and
- How to trace the history of any given parcel of land from its Crown patent back to the present time.
COST: $60 per person; $50 for members.
