Sarah Kaufman holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree, specializing in History and Politics, and a Master’s in Public History from the University of Western Ontario. She has worked in many of Niagara’s heritage institutions. Sarah is responsible for Museum operations, strategic planning and policies, as well as the management, research and exhibition of the Museum's collection. She has curated a number of exhibitions, including a few digital, on general Niagara-on-the-Lake history, the War of 1812, the First World War, artists, women’s history and more. Sarah also enjoys participating on local heritage projects in the community such as the Landscape of Nations, the Voices of Freedom Park, and various commemorative committees.
She was a Finalist for the Women in Business Awards for Culture, a recipient for the 2023 Niagara Top 40 under 40 Business Achievement Awards and the 2023 Niagara-on-the-Lake Spirit award winner for Community leadership.
