Born and raised in the Niagara Region, Sarah Kaufman holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree, specializing in History and Politics, and a Master’s in Public History from the University of Western Ontario. She has worked in over 7 of Niagara’s heritage institutions. Sarah became Managing Director in 2010 and is responsible for the day to day operations, implementing Board directed strategies and policies, as well as the management, research and exhibition of the Museum's collection. She has curated a number of exhibitions, including a few digital, on general Niagara-on-the-Lake history, the War of 1812, the First World War, artists, women’s history and more. Sarah also enjoys participating on local heritage projects in the community such as the Landscape of Nations, the Voices of Freedom Park, and various commemorative committees.
